LGBTQI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex) resouces for kids, teens, and families

The Gender & Sexuality Development Clinic at Children's Hosp. of Phila. (CHoP) - specialist clinic of CHoP providing evaluations and medical support for transgender, genderqueer, and gender nonconforming kids and teens

The Philadelphia Trans Health Conference - the largest transgender/genderqueer/gender fluid conference in the world. Sponsored by the Mazzoni Center. Sessions and topics range from medical health (hormone blocking/surgery options) to mental health to family support. Age and ethnicity-specific sessions/tracks are often planned. Family-friendly content for younger children is available. Content/sessions restricted to trans-identified people available throughout the day to provide a comfortable setting for sensitive discussions.

The ATTIC Center -located in Center City, the ATTIC provides drop-in hours, support groups, and services for Philly's LGBTQI teens and young adults

The Mazzoni Center Youth Page - Center City agency providing medical, mental health, and legal services for Philadelphia's diverse LGBTQI community

HiTOPS - Princeton LGBTQI youth group (ages 12-20) meets the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. Trans-specific group also.

GLSEN - national organization providing support for LGBTQI students in their schools. Information on starting your own Gay-Straight Alliance.

GLSEN Central Jersey Chapter

The Trevor Project - national organization providing crisis intervention and support by phone, text, and chat for LGBTQI kids and teens. Social networking site hosted to connect with other LGBTQI young folks.

 LGBTQI resources for adults

The William Way Center - LGBTQ+ community center in Philadelphia with a number of services, events, social groups, and resources. This can be a good place to make connections to shared-interest and career-networking groups as well as many other social opportunities. The Peer Counseling program provides short-term, goal-oriented peer counseling in person and by telephone Mondays through Fridays 6-9pm.

The Mazzoni Center - Philadelphia health and social services agency specializing in serving the LGBTQ+ community

Galaei - Galaei is a queer social justice organization. Serving the Latinx community while widening our embrace, GALAEI now provides services, support, and advocacy for all Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and people of color (QTBIPOC) communities. Events, programs, and services tailored to the Latin@ community are available from their Center City location.
